@ThaisBlackXboxLive Very good point, but it's important to note that every physical law and observation we can make says nothing can go FTL, and the mathematics agrees with this belief as well. (If you went FTL, this would be moving backward in time -- potential paradoxes ensue.) And there was plenty of evidence to show that things could go faster than sound before we were capable of doing so with airplanes. You could be right about wormhole travel though. We can always be hopeful. :)

If it is impossible to go any faster then the speed of light there is an alternative way to move through the universe, by taking shortcuts.. @theArcanine99 Good question. It's because of Einstein's famous equation, E=mc^2. The velocity can't be increased because of the limit of the speed of light. But because energy is still being input, the only possible means of manifesting that energy is in the form of mass. In other words, the energy is directly converted to mass. This is like the opposite of what happens inside a fusion reaction (like inside the sun), where mass is converted to energy. :)

you know this stuff came about as a joke between two scientists about freeze drying jelly? if you try simply sucking the water out of the structure, it falls apart. instead, they may the watery stuff that makes a gel supercritical, and then sublime it off. i wish they'd hurry up and start making this stuff in bulk, it could offer some amazing possibilities.

i see your point about radiation poisoning though, they were careful to crash the galileo probe into jupiter so as to avoid the chance of it crashing into europa and possibly contaminating the warm ocean containing life under the ice & they'll crash the saturn probe into saturn as well to avoid possible poisoning of titan so why risk mars with this nuclear powered vehicle? possibly cos theres little chance of any life being there still who knows....

I do not understand why we do not send teams of robots? (two instead of one). One to be the master and the other one to be the servant. If the master gets stuck the servant pulls him out. The master do all the work take all the risks while the servant is there to secure the safety of the master. Another idea is to have a small helicopter on the back of the rover. It could fly around and survey the area. I guess this is one of the goals of the DARPA helicopter challenge.

The module with the jets that lowers the rover could be used to clear up some dust with its jet streams. Once the dust clears the rover can go to it and take some samples bellow the surface. How many rovers we have to send before humans could have a settlement on the planet and start mining steel and colonise the planet with oxygen producing bacteria? We need the steel to build more structures on Mars. Perhaps initially first we could use Martian rocks to build walls around tents

Though there are other "Passion" tracks that are similar to this, like, "Crucifixion", "Mary Goes to Jesus" and "Peter Denies Jesus". They're by John Debney. Theme of Avatar sounds like "Resurrection" You may also wanna try "Running to the Rain" which is the music of the film Rabbit-Proof Fence, by Peter Gabriel. Try them, they're ALL on Youtube. :)

@AndrewTheMusher Dude, did you learn anything from the movie at all? Enjoying violence and death is a HUMAN feeling, its exactly what makes humans so shitty in the first place! In the movie they just did what they had to to protect their world and their children, it wasnt about enjoying it! If that's the only reason you'd want to be like them, you dont deserve it. Go join an army if you WANT to see people suffer and die.
